Intergalactic FM website launches, with changed line-up

It's up, in a slightly changed form from the mysterious original plan, with 2 stations - The Dream Machine playing darker electronics, and Intergalactic Classix, which "...is all dedicated to Classix sounds. From Megahits to obscure fleemarket findings...". Look forward to hearing more soundtracks and library stuff too.

Intergalactic FM launches

Always loved and much-missed Holland-based electronic/disco/soundtracks radio station the Cybernetic Broadcasting System is reborn as Intergalactic FM with two out of three streams up and running at the moment - IFM2 is "The Dream Machine", featuring around the clock space, soundtracks and electronics, whilst IFM3 is "Intergalactic Classix" featuring loads of electro, Italo and hiphop.

Sounds great so far - I was cynical about splitting off the spacey, soundtracky stuff off from the typical Italo and disco classics, but it's been working out pretty well so far.

CBS refugee camp: Robots For Robots

From the ashes of the rather wonderful Cybernetic Broadcasting System springs Robots For Robots, a forum for all you plastic pals to get together and talk binary to each other.

Already a couple of radio streams have sprung up, including one from MenschMaschine,  Alex D Steak's peer-casted Robot 1972, and X-Bobo's Pitchounet, doing a live mix of a bunch of Basic Channel/Rhythm and Sound dub-techno right now.

Which leads me to wonder, could I-F's move actually set everyone free; rather than relying on the CBS being there, this seems to have galvanised people into action.

Much as the various streams springing up is good to see, I'd still love to see Ferenc return. The robots need a shared experience to gather round, how about a weekly podcast instead?

CBS RIP: 2002 - 2008

Can't quite believe it. Thanks to Ferenc and all the DJs for the years of music.

Update: Robots For Robots: forum for refugees from the CBS...
